Hillsborough Soccer Club is a rapidly growing soccer club and the Board is looking to hire a paid position called the Technical Director.  The Board is accepting applications for this part-time position.  See below for details.

Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

The Technical Director for Hillsborough Soccer Club is a salaried position, reporting to the Director of Coaching on the Board of Directors.  The Technical Director will provide administrative support as well as technical support.

  • Facilitate the administrative work associated with player tryouts.  This includes answering questions, sending player offers and tracking team rosters as players decline/accept their offers.
  • Schedule indoor and outdoor training space appropriate with permits and reservations.  The technical director will need training/access to Hillsborough District tools like SchoolDude.  Working knowledge of this tool is ideal.
  • Track tournament attendance and recommend tournaments for teams to maximize Club discounts
  • Research and provide recommendation for winter activities (futsol, training space, etc)
  • Manage email correspondence with parents and players regarding player registration, team formation, etc. with a rapid response rate
  • Ensure that player passes are maintained and tracked during and after season
  • Liaison for coaches regarding player passes, including checking and submitting player paperwork

 

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Soccer Coaching ‘F’ license

Preferred Skills

Microsoft Office:  Excel, Outlook, technical acumen to learn new applications specific to the role.

Additional Notes

The Technical Director will be expected to attend monthly Board meetings and represent concerns, issues, and successes related to the duties above.  The Technical Director will not be afforded a Board vote.  Qualified applicants will be interviewed by the DOC and VP and submitted to the Board of Directors for final review and approval.  All applicants will be required to pass a background check and provide proof of licensing.
